The Junior Graphic Designer generates and manipulates graphic images, animations, sound, text and video into consolidated and seamless multimedia programs. Uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, films, packaging, and informative and instructional material through a variety of media outlets such as websites and CD-ROMs. Being a Junior Graphic Designer typically requires a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. Must remain abreast of technological advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization. In addition, Junior Graphic Designer typically reports to a manager. Being a Junior Graphic Designer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Our company is looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative and data-entry-related tasks;
  • Maintain company TV Screens and Intranet ‘In the News’ Updates;
  • Continually collaborate with Marketing Team and Consultants for design brainstorming, conceptualizing, reviewing, etc;
  • Support Billion Dollar Boy with brand creative and graphic design needs (Website updates, brand materials);
  • Create design solutions that promote the GOP brand;
  • Consult with an internal team of copywriters and other creative to ensure delivery of work that reflects clients’ brand;
  • Work closely with Copywriters & Creative Strategists to ensure seamless execution of typography and design;
  • Integrate Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects and Premier expertise to produce final deliverables;
  • Work simultaneously on multiple projects based on current client workload;
  • Present work internally to team, and substantiate creative decisions, and take feedback and amends in good spirits;
  • Work with other departments in the building to create materials for a wide variety of GOP needs (PPT, Memos, credentials, signage, merchandise, etc);
  • Time manage efficiently to ensure that all work is delivered on schedule, and any challenges are addressed ahead of time;
  • Work cross-departmentally to create images for winning campaign concepts utilizing influencers that emphasize our unique and groundbreaking creativity;
  • Edit short videos (animated gifs and b-roll based projects);
  • Collaborates closely with Marketing partners to understand project briefs and their goals.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of tabletop roleplaying games and similar fields a tremendous PLUS;
  • Bachelor’s Degree, most preferably in Graphic Design or related field;
  • Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign;
  • Any other artistic skills (illustration, painting, crocheting) and/or knowledge of art programs a HUGE, HUGE plus;
  • Proficient designing for both digital and print environments;
  • Independent, creative, proactive thinker;
  • Comfortable working independently or part of larger team projects;
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to being a supportive team member;
  • Familiarity with Google Docs is required;
  • Creative and effective problem solving skills;
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and instill confidence in end users;
