Motion Designer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Motion Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Proven experience with motion design & animations for client-based agencies and/or broadcast/film with a deadline-driven environment;
- Integrate and provide feedback to other design disciplines on the team;
- Good sense of timing and screen composition;
- Ability to work independently and under close direction;
- Proficiency in After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator;
- You find the balance between animations that are pleasing to the eye as well as efficient and purpose-built;
- Knowledge of video codecs and formats as well as video/broadcast and web standards;
- Significant working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Up-level videos through composited moving interfaces, bumpers, and animated stories;
- Bachelor Degree in Media Arts (or equivalent) is required;
- You are capable of doing moderate rigging tasks and animations in a 3d package;
- Assist in the production of guides, vision demos, presentations and prototypes;
- Editing video assets and creating animated overlays for short form video projects;
- Work alongside creative colleagues and stakeholders to interpret briefs and create the best work.
Requirements:
- 2+ years knowledge in 3d rigging and 3d animation;
- Cinema 4D or other 3D applications;
- 3D Package experience like Maya, 3dsmax, Cinema 4d or equivalent experience;
- Knowledge of the principles, techniques, technology and current standards of video production and shot composition;
- 2+ years knowledge of user-centered design and interaction approaches;
- Experience with color correction, color treatment, special effects and music selection;
- An expert in After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator;
- Ability to translate written concepts into visually descriptive, impactful designs;
- Competency in Premiere and a basic understanding of a diverse range of motion design software, plugins, techniques, and approaches;
- Must provide a portfolio of work that showcases your talents in animation and motion graphics;
- Adept computer user, you know shortcuts like the back of your hand;
- Technical skills Skilled in the latest versions of Adobe Creative Suite;
- Nice to have: Experience with 3D tools such as Cinema 4D;
- Can easily multi-task;
- A natural sense of curiosity and urgency.
