UX Researcher Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a UX Researcher to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct usability benchmarking and continued testing of tools and apps;
- Experience with, or willingness to learn eyetracking is a plus;
- Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences;
- Examine existing data and product designs to generate hypotheses and plans for high-impact research;
- Apply flexible research approaches to meet different project needs and timelines;
- This position will report directly to our Chief Design Officer;
- Support existing research initiatives, prioritize and drive research to quantify and improve the advertiser user experience;
- Coordinating remote diary studies with research vendors around the world;
- Define and measure quantitative UX goals and metrics in collaboration with Designers, Qualitative Researchers, Engineers and Program Managers;
- Maintain records for all recruitment and participant activity;
- Adhere to and inform others of the policies and ethical codes related to conducting user research at our client.]
- Identify, solicit, and schedule appropriate candidates for participation in user experience studies;
- Evaluating response quality to remove noise in our data;
- Maintain relationships with company’s account managers in Sales and other groups;
- Innovate on our use of data, reporting, and tools to improve strategies, outreach, and effectiveness in delivering quality participants.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of work experience in an applied research setting;
- 3+ years industry research experience;
- Possesses a passion for building world-class mobile and web apps that focus on meeting user needs;
- Experience managing research projects with cross-functional teams;
- A desire to learn, experiment with, and master new skills;
- Experience structuring and conducting field visits and usability studies;
- Energetic, pro-active self-starter with a strong work ethic;
- Familiarity with digital product development, user experience research & design, HCI concepts, and qualitative & quantitative research methods;
- Can accept a background check and reference checks;
- At least 2 years industry experience (non-academic) conducting user research;
- Deep knowledge of 1 or 2 UX Research methods (e.g. usability testing, heuristic evaluation, survey design, etc);
- 1-4 years of UX Research / Digital Interaction experience with digital products, websites or mobile experiences;
- Knowledge in a wide range of UX Research and synthesis methods, knows when and why to apply them;
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills;
- Skillful verbal and written communicator, with great listening skills.
