The General Cleaner is responsible for general cleaning and maintenance duties which may include: vacuuming, dusting, item washing, trash collecting and proper sorting. Works to ensure offices, patient/guest rooms, facilities, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Being a General Cleaner typically reports to a supervisor. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a General Cleaner possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.

Responsibilities:
- Must be willing to sweep, mop, dust, pull trash which can weigh 40 or more pounds, fill all dispensers, soap, lotion, paper towel and toilet paper;
- Must have an understanding of job duties, machines, and equipment necessary to complete tasks;
- Uses personal protective equipment correctly such as safety glasses and vinyl gloves;
- Produces quality work within pre-set time frames;
- Shows initiative in regard to job functions and accepts new responsibilities as needed;
- Has a willingness to work with and help others;
- Cleaning and stocking restrooms, breakrooms, and other areas;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Polish windows and other surfaces as assigned;

Requirements:
- Reliable transportation;
- Background check required;
- Excellent work history;
- Experience: Previous cleaning experience a plus;
- Physically demanding fast-paced environment requiring ability to work efficiently with attention to detail;
- Education: High school degree preferred, but not required;
- Team focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction;
- Ability to pass a background check;
- The ability to work alone or within a team is a must;
- Strong work ethic;
- Ability to pass a drug screen;
- Must pass drug screen and background check and have reliable transportation.
