Janitorial Worker Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Janitorial Worker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Keep cleaning supplies in stock;
- Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision;
- Perform minor repairs;
- Ensure doors are locked after hours;
- Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs;
- Collect and dispose of trash;
- Work with a contract cleaning service when necessary;
- Clean and stock restrooms;
- General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition;
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors;
- Followed procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures;
- Clean and service restrooms and break rooms with mops and disinfectants;
- Follow all health and safety regulations;
- Clean and supply designated areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, emptying trash, etc.);
- Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
Requirements:
- Work well when supervisors are not present;
- Able to use basic cleaning equipment;
- Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies;
- Handle basic maintenance, building repairs, cleaning and other janitorial work;
- Ability to manage your time efficiently;
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds;
- High School Diploma;
- Basic math skills.
