Our company is looking for a Maintenance Staff to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs typical maintenance to support the entire facility;
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations;
  • Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner as per training received;
  • Detects and reports questionable conditions to the Facilities Director;
  • Performs other duties as assigned;
  • Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents;
  • Helps maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment by providing housekeeping services as needed;
  • Stocks maintenance supplies for work areas;
  • Refurbishes vacated apartments in a timely manner, documenting all work performed;
  • Conducts new employee training sessions;
  • Maintains and repairs walls, furniture, cabinets, windows, and doors/locks;
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures;
  • Reports any abuse, suspected abuse, or alleged abuse to the appropriate supervisor and/or agencies;
  • Detects and reports questionable conditions to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds, to occasionally lift more than 50 pounds, and to spend long periods of time walking/standing;
  • High school diploma or GED required;
  • Must have skills/experience in various maintenance-related trades, including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and janitorial;
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Must be at least 18 years old;
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress;
  • Must be free of communicable disease;
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English;
  • Must be able to organize and use time appropriately to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision;
  • Must meet in-service training requirements;
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed;
  • Must have experience in a maintenance environment;
  • Experienced in a wide variety of trade skills (carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical) and the tools associated with them;
  • Must be able to physically perform the duties of the job;
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
