Our company is looking for a Accounting Consultant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in responding to IRS notices, year-end tax planning, tax filing positions, cash flow and business best practices;
  • Assist in preparation and communication of management reports;
  • Evaluate and improve upon existing accounting policies, reports, and reconciliations;
  • Performing various month-end duties such as balance sheet and banks reconciliations, journal entries, GL maintenance, and monthly reporting;
  • Research, analyze and document conclusions on new accounting policies;
  • Assist in documentation of multifaceted accounting issues and conclusions thereon;
  • Support external and internal auditors with quarterly reviews and annual audits;
  • Partner with clients: address inquiries and requests, understand business processes and offer solutions;
  • Actively participate in meetings. Sharing ideas or presenting information that will contribute to the overall development of the team;
  • Provide superior customer service to clients, fielding inbound calls to receive orders and resolve issues;
  • Partner with the Relationship Manager and internal product and marketing teams to drive and track client product growth and participation;
  • Process and follow-up on orders, including communicating with warehouses to ensure timely and accurate shipping and receipt;
  • Work as a team with 3-4 Brand Managers and Product Knowledge specialists in assigned geographic territories;
  • Manage a systematic bi-weekly outbound call rotation for all of assigned accounts;
  • Attend in-field education, company events or special visits to key accounts on an as needed basis.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor or greater degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • Willing to complete the duration of consulting opportunity;
  • Strong understanding of Accounting Principles (GAAP);
  • A Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a public accounting or corporate accounting/finance department;
  • Able to work in many different environments and locations;
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work with companies working through change management initiatives;
  • Knowledge of FSA, HSA, Commuter or other tax-advantaged benefits, payroll, GL and accounting preferred;
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or minimum of 3-5 years of relevant sales experience;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills allowing you to manage multiple projects and deadlines;
  • At least 2 years of professional client account management experience;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Outside Sales in Fashion and/or Salon Industry experience preferred;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contact management software applications;
  • Customer service experience.
