Accounting Generalist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Accounting Generalist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with reconciling vendor statements and solving discrepancies when necessary;
- Assist with daily cash over shot reconciliation, and reporting;
- Processes requisitions and purchase orders;
- Prepare and distribute the various reports when needed;
- Other office duties as needed i.e. manage the front desk, answer phones, order office supplies;
- Assist with special projects;
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts as assigned;
- Assist with Generating Daily Labor and Revenue Reports as needed;
- Professional and prompt correspondence with regards to administrative requests;
- Understand and ensure compliance with all Omni Finance SOPs;
- Maintain open communication with all departments;
- Prepare monthly journal entries as assigned;
- Reporting on any aspects of duties verbally or in written format;
- Assist with accounts receivable functions and duties;
- Assist with Audit requests.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years in hotel accounting experience is necessary;
- Strong knowledge of spreadsheets, both building and maintaining;
- Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office and Excel;
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form;
- Knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
