Our company is looking for a Assistant Planner to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Create design development and graphic exhibits;
  • Assist planners and engineers with organization of materials for delivery to client groups;
  • Work on multiple projects, frequently simultaneously, and special assignments as required;
  • Other tasks as required;
  • Produce maps and conduct analysis with Geographic Information Systems;
  • Research, review and apply local codes and ordinances to determine plat requirements and ensure compliance;
  • Maintain and apply a working knowledge of local government code and ordinances;
  • Data collection (online and in the field);
  • Prepare presentation materials;
  • Conduct research and prepare reports and technical memoranda;
  • Coordinate and attend public and stakeholder meetings;
  • Execute subdivision plat preparation & submission.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products;
  • 1 year or less post graduate work experience;
  • Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework;
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in accredited urban planning, geography, environmental sciences Undergraduate or Graduate program;
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite;
  • Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS;
  • Familiarity with Census Data retrieval and analysis;
  • Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills;
  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
