Assistant Project Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Assistant Project Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work with team members in multiple locations;
- Manages the Procurement Process;
- Coordinate all required administrative submittals;
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements;
- Manages contracts, add-services, and invoicing;
- Prepare project status reports, process purchase orders, update tracking reports, and maintain files for due diligence and financials;
- Identify the required scopes of work to complete the project;
- Ensure that all project information and changes are communicated and disseminated to all project team members in a timely manner;
- Track permitting process and assist in its procurement;
- Administer submittal process using our systems and standards;
- Review amplified drawings for changes and clarifications;
- Assist Project Manager with maintaining current opportunities in Pipeline;
- Additional duties as determined by Project Managers;
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to job site by working with purchasing department;
- Create and maintain project delivery schedules.
Requirements:
- Good computer skills with the desire and ability to learn technical skills that would apply to the audio visual industry;
- Working knowledge of Electrical Estimating software;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Be an independent worker dedicated to excellence;
- Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness;
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline;
- 2+ years doing IT or agency-side project management;
- Multifamily Construction – Type III and V preferred;
- Communication;
- Ability to prioritize and manage time;
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required to drive personal and company vehicles for company use;
- Thorough understanding of current and emerging digital channels and technologies;
- Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures;
- Ability to manage multiple projects at different stages of renovation/construction;
- Previous experience in an engineering, architectural design and/or project management role.
