Our company is looking for a Associate Buyer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for category-specific training materials development and new product communication;
  • Execute new vendor and SKU set-ups at the direction of the Buyer;
  • Contact suppliers to ensure that all dropship purchase orders were received and that deliveries will ship on time;
  • Responsible for developing display strategy and communication based on categories and strategies as directed by the Buyer;
  • May be responsible for specific buying responsibilities (regionally and/or nationwide);
  • Manage store support activities;
  • Maintain constant contact with vendors and shipping companies while deliveries are in route;
  • Notify supply chain and operators teams in a timely manner if a critical delivery is going to be late;
  • Deliver all purchase orders to vendors either by fax, overnight mail or email;
  • Assist Buyer with specific category planning, buying, analysis, advertisement, inventory management, promotion and plan-o-grams;
  • Responsible for specific vendor and purchase order management;
  • Work with vendors to solve invoicing issues that could delay critical shipments;
  • Responsible for tracking competition, SKU advertisement proof and execution, credit memo follow-up from vendors, and web data integrity;
  • Follow up on grand opening related category activities (e.g., purchase order management, planograms).

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides) Microsoft (Excel, Power Point, Word) and Google Suite web-based applications;
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, adapt, negotiate and manage a project(s).;
  • The resource is responsible for procuring Fasteners, evaluating vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers;
  • Experience in SAP is not required, however would be an advantage.;
  • Strong Communication with all levels of management and peers, both internally and externally.;
  • Must be capable of managing tactical workload while developing & implementing strategies and process improvements.;
