Our company is looking for a Budget Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with BTS lead to socialize and clear requirements of the Bureau’s Technology and Innovation CR;
  • Support the execution of change management plans by drafting communications for project and portfolio sponsors with the Senior Management Analyst;
  • Supervising and mentoring SRG Budget Specialist, assuring accuracy of work products;
  • Develop briefing materials for senior executives;
  • Conduct independent research and analysis, ensuring compliance with the laws and other regulations;
  • Provide training and help desk support for systems deployed by the division;
  • Increase productivity by supporting Senior Budget Analyst in developing automated reporting/forecasting tools;
  • Liaison with HR and other departments to resolve discrepancies;
  • Process budget transfer requests;
  • Preparation of the Monthly MIAC Invoice – Account analysis of MIAC General Ledger account Reconciliation of Loss Run to Financial Results;
  • Compile, interpret and analyze finance data such as budgets, encumbrances and expenses;
  • Development of the Table of Organization for the Budget Process;
  • Assist with the ongoing maintenance of the IBM Cognos TM1 Budget;
  • Other Special Projects as determined by Management;
  • Process and analyze data in an electronic Enterprise Resource Planning database (ERP).

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated initiative;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics;
  • Lean Six Sigma;
  • Certified Scrum Master;
  • A proven disciplined and focused approach to analytics;
  • Effectively communicate (written and verbal) at all levels of the organization;
  • Top Secret Clearance;
  • Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
  • Exceptionally strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Active US SECRET security clearance required;
  • Must be experienced in computerized accounting systems (i.e. PeopleSoft) and be very proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Information Management or related field;
  • Outcomes and benefits realization;
  • 8 + Years of related experience; a Bachelor’s Degree (in a relevant discipline) will count as 4 years of experience.
