Business Analyst II Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Business Analyst II to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and build partnerships with key stakeholders to understand and deliver on requirements for information technology procurement requests;
- Documents best practice procurement operation procedures, including management of POs, catalog maintenance, etc.);
- Review for coding, pricing and information accuracy in purchasing tool, as warranted;
- Implementation of added functionality as warranted (such as after the fact PO). Support of upgrades and security certificates;
- Administers training and end user support of Ariba solution as warranted;
- Participate in cost savings tracking and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Leads the development, tracking and reporting of key department performance and compliance metrics to a variety of business audiences;
- Works towards resolving work issues relative to the trading relationship and enablement of suppliers;
- Ensuring products have met acceptance criteria sufficient for release, including accessibility, mobile, and edge case tests;
- Tracking product or channel adoption and usage statistics;
- Developing and maintaining strategies, plans, scripts and cases for User Acceptance Testing purposes;
- Ensuring all user stories have clear and measurable success criteria to inform automated testing;
- Working with the Engineering team to ensure product vision and priorities are maintained throughout development planning and execution;
- Monitoring of product bug queues in order to validate, triage and prioritize fixes;
- Assisting team with strategy execution.
Requirements:
- Ability to identify root cause of solution issues and influences the appropriate corrective action;
- Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices;
- Ability to deal with confrontational issues in a positive and effective manner;
- Outstanding knowledge of Ariba solution, data analytics and fundamental procurement;
- Translate client business requirements into business process models, data models and platform solutions;
- Professional verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to be a self-starter, working independently and as part of a team;
- Customer support oriented;
- Experience working with large enterprise clients;
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Business Administration or a related category;
- Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing and analyzing data requirements;
- Familiarity with agile software development and deployment processes;
- At least 1-3 years’ experience in BA or QA roles with strong written and verbal communication skills;
- The urge to be part of a team of highly skilled people, all with strong opinions about various technologies, frameworks, and approaches to delivery;
- Experience building accessible (a11y) products.
