Our company is looking for a Business Development Intern to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and support proposal development meetings;
  • Conduct research to inform proposal development strategies and international development markets;
  • Provide support for data calls, information gathering and support proposal development activities;
  • Support business development knowledge management systems;
  • Track client solicitations and business forecasts to maintain an awareness of the competitive landscape.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision making skills;
  • Desire to learn about the government/contractor relationship and business development in the government contracting environment;
  • Pursuit of a degree in business, government, or a related field is preferred;
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills;
  • Work with Product Management team assessing current strategy and future opportunities across product line;
  • Assist Business Development Manager in analyzing Key Accounts and determining segments for growth;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Able to commit to a minimum of 2 days/week for at least 3 months;
  • Math aptitude: Ability to learn, understand and concisely communicate pricing of products to customers and prospects;
  • Dynamic personality and high energy;
  • Able to commute to our office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn;
  • 1-2 years relevant experience in sales and/or marketing Third- or fourth-year college or graduate student in NYC;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to commute/live and work in the Washington D.C. metro area;
  • Support Executive Management team with special projects.
