Business Intelligence Consultant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Business Intelligence Consultant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage data in analytic platforms and business intelligence tools, dashboards, and reports;
- Translate metrics and analytical information into easily understood information;
- Deep dives on conversion rates and strategies on improving the yield on marketing lists;
- Manage and build strong relationships with Cogito data scientists and account teams;
- Consolidate new client requirements into a scalable solution for existing clients and UpClear;
- Ensure quality standards across both data and report functionality;
- Identify reports, dashboards, and analysis required in accordance with client’s business needs;
- Highlight risks and identify value adds within the data-driven results and processes;
- Articulate derived insights into business relevant conclusions and data stories;
- Identify growth areas for reporting and analytics capabilities, including new data sources;
- Prioritize workload and manage time effectively across multiple clients and deliverables;
- Create presentations, reports, and/or white papers that take into account the view from an outside party and can stand on their own;
- Manage/drive deliverables to completion, inclusive of keeping deliverable on track (or getting back on track);
- Assist in the sales process as a technical expert in business intelligence;
- Understand the issues and goals, and interpret the results of an engagement in partnership with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience with data discovery/business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI;
- Provide comprehensive support for all sales and marketing campaign initiatives;
- Define and drive the analytics delivery to sales;
- Design creative approaches within the marketing campaign environment;
- Partner with others to understand sales and marketing challenges;
- Expertise in data visualization and presentation tools, including Tableau, PowerPoint, Google Slides, Excel, etc;
- Familiarity with statistics and statistical approaches;
- Experience in consulting or working with large enterprise clients;
- Expertise in communicating requirements and data needs to technical teammates;
- At least 3+ years experience in business intelligence & data analytics;
- Strong understanding of how analytics can be used to support business/industry processes or challenges;
- Familiarity with best practices in data visualization, data storytelling, and data-driven reporting;
- BA in Information Systems or related field;
- Ability to work independently and adapt your style to rapid organizational and software changes;
- Ability to switch gears quickly and work in a fast-paced start-up culture.
