Business Intelligence Data Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Business Intelligence Data Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Must possess at least 3-4 years of work experience in the BI field. Background/degree in c.s. or information systems, data analytics;
- Identify gaps in existing data, create data product specs and work with Engineering teams to implement data tracking;
- Drive training and adoption of Looker as a reporting / data exploration platform;
- Own building out reporting and self-service data exploration capabilities in Looker;
- Own data integrity and availability;
- Obtain a holistic understanding of each department’s data needs and ensure they have the proper tools to make decisions using data;
- Be our go-to data expert and have a deep understanding of our data warehouse and data processing layers.
Requirements:
- Experience with systems and data analysis (Preferred);
- Synthesizing many requests to create a solution that address all needs (Required);
- Associate’s Degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Economics or related field (Required);
- Experience in a customer centric environment (Required);
- Leveraging visual data analysis tools e.g. Domo, Tableau, etc (Preferred);
- Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Economics or related field (Preferred);
- Expert in SQL;
- Move fast, be a team player, always be learning and give back;
- Top notch organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment;
- Bachelors in Engineering, Business, or other quantitative discipline;
- Experience with Redshift or Vertica;
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in business intelligence and data analytics;
- Expert in hands-on development with BI Platforms (Looker strongly preferred, Tableau, PeriscopeData, etc);
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Experience and strong knowledge in data warehousing concepts, big data technologies, and analytics platforms.
