Our company is looking for a Chief Compliance Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures compliance with Ocean’s code of conduct, ethics and conflict of interest policies;
  • Oversees Ocean’s Responsible Gaming program,
  • Responsible for operating in compliance with the requirements of N.J.A.C. 13:69C-8.8;
  • Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of Internal Controls, changing legislation and reporting requirements;
  • Monitors policies, procedures, material transactions and proposed transactions for purposes of avoiding impropriety or the appearance thereof;
  • Conducts periodic compliance training;
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws, statutes and regulatory requirements;
  • Responsible for the review of the quarterly Compliance committee presentation;
  • Enforces all Ocean license conditions;
  • Supervises due diligence reviews and investigation of Company officers and team members, consultants, etc. as indicated in 13:69C-8.8(c)(4);
  • Ensures all required reports are submitted to the Division of Gaming Enforcement in a timely manner;
  • Reviews audit findings and ensuring appropriate remedial action is taken;
  • Protects against unethical or unlawful behavior by team members;
  • Oversees the annual external Title 31 audit;
  • Prepares the Compliance departments budgets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or related field is preferred;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Excellent leadership skills demonstrated by ownership of issues through their resolution while providing sound guidance to others;
  • Minimum of seven years’ relevant experience as a senior compliance officer in a banking institution;
  • Ability to work under deadlines;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Must be experienced in making presentations;
  • Advanced degree (JD, MBA, MA/MS) highly preferred.
