Closing Coordinator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Closing Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain necessary programs with closing information;
- Represent Drees Homes during the closing process;
- After closing, update systems and process all necessary paperwork to complete and close out the file;
- Timely and accurate processing of all necessary paperwork and information related to the closing process;
- Track and assure Certificates of Occupancy, Final Inspections and keys are included in the closing folder;
- Prepare and distribute reports;
- Set up and maintain customer files;
- Coordinate signing, notarizing and pickup of closing documents;
- Primary Role – Closing Coordinator;
- Assist with Land Contracts and Lot Closings;
- Be responsible for property taxes – calculations, refund checks to buyers, etc;
- Additional administrative tasks to support the Division;
- Audit and prepare final bills and other closing documents;
- Act as liaison and coordinator between the Company, lending institution, title company, Realtor and customer;
- Reviewing and auditing the transaction files for documents needed for prior to closing conditions.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of residential home sales contract and closing documents and disclosures;
- Possess a team player mentality;
- Mortgage, title or closing coordinator experience is preferred;
- Detail-minded with excellent organizational and follow up skills;
- Minimum of 2 years residential construction closing experience;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
- High school education required; College degree helpful;
- Display a friendly, personable and approachable manner with both internal and external customers;
- Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure while meeting strict deadlines;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
