Construction Project Manager – Healthcare Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Construction Project Manager – Healthcare to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate activities of sub-contractors and relocation of technical functions. Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors;
- Support Project Executives and/or Senior Project Managers on large complex projects and assignments;
- Proactively manage project-related issues on account or assignment;
- Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner;
- Developing strong relationships and lines of communication with Superintendents, clients, and subcontractors;
- Ensure all project documentation is complete;
- Manages subcontractor pay requests;
- Develop and enforce noise, dust and infection control (ICRA) plans during construction activities;
- Develops and expands accurate historical cost data;
- Closes out the project financially and administratively in a timely manner;
- Coordinate with the Medical Engineering Hospital staff with regards to MEP system shutdowns;
- Mentors and trains Team Members to provide the best opportunity for each members success;
- Prices, issues, negotiates, and tracks change orders;
- Maintains timely client communication and satisfaction at the highest level;
- Coordinates and assists with preconstruction efforts for Design/Build / CMAR / Design Assist projects.
Requirements:
- ASHE Certification (American Society of Healthcare Engineering); CHC (Certified Healthcare Contractor) Certification preferred;
- Willing to learn MHC procedures and be a member of the overall MHC team;
- OSHA 30 Certificate required;
- Required to visit the project site weekly during construction activities adn frequently depending on the project and its size and complexity;
- LEAN construction practices, Pull Planning and Last Planner System experience desirable;
- Experience in Design/Build, CMAR and IPD delivery methods desirable;
- Self-starter, well organized and reliable;
- Willing to work as a team member to assist the team in critical deadlines and tasks.
