Contract Management Specialist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Contract Management Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide thorough explanation of and practice consistent adherence to the terms and conditions of various contracts;
- Complete other duties within the accounting department as assigned;
- Set up new customer account records and correct existing accounts as needed;
- Perform thorough research of an account’s billing history and determine the appropriate actions needed to address/resolve billing disputes;
- Determine when credit memos are needed and calculate/issue credit memos using the proper financial codes;
- Utilize internal resources to pull original sales and leasing paperwork for internal and external review;
- Use financial software to review and correct contract billing records with a high level of attention to detail;
- Make outbound calls to obtain meter readings necessary for billing; calculate estimated meter readings when actual data is unavailable;
- Effectively communicate with a high volume of internal and external customers about billing and contracts via phone and email;
- Process customer data changes and make filing entry of the actions taken.
Requirements:
- Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills required;
- 7 to 10 years’ relevant contract negotiation/drafting experience;
- Experience in a biotechnology/pharmaceutical, law firm or corporate setting preferred.
