Responsibilities:
- General ledger reconciliation, which includes month end close, journal entry preparation, account analysis and financial statement review;
- Product costing, inventory, and work in process development;
- Interpersonal Skills – Keeps emotions under control;
- Understand the Fishbowl manufacturing software and integration with Quickbooks; review and examine errors between systems;
- Lead and Manage the quarterly excess and obsolete inventory review process;
- Establishes labor and overhead rates, bi-annually;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Assist in the completion of monthly, quarterly and annual financial packages by due date;
- Establish & Monitor Financial Controls;
- Assist in Standard Setting Process (including Routines & Recipes);
- Construct Cost information utilized in Pricing Models;
- Assists controller with monthly, quarterly and year-to-date financial reporting results relating to gross profit;
- Gather data and prepare production analysis reports, and work together with production team for issue resolution and incremental improvement;
- Provides cost data for new and/or changed products;
- Design and implement accounting for supply chain activities within X.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance;
- The ability to work while under pressure and meet scheduled deadlines essential;
- Quality Control to include ensuring the accuracy of results;
- The ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision is essential;
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong Excel skills and experience with Great Plains/ Dynamics System;
- Ability to accurately prepare and communicate costs reports to all levels of management and ownership;
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook software;
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills;
- Ability to be flexible and handle pressure in a positive manner;
- Strong communication skills, organization skills and time management skills;
- Cost Accounting/BOM experience preferred;
- Ability to use advanced functions of Microsoft Excel;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment;
- Detail oriented.
