Our company is looking for a Cost Accounting Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively drives collaboration with business partners;
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close of General Ledger;
  • Drives & Supports Lonza Houston, Inc’s month end close process;
  • Work with warehouse and site controller to review and dispose of obsolete inventory;
  • Prepare reports monthly for business units comparing factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services;
  • Maintain a cost accounting system;
  • Assists with the development of budgeting and forecasting;
  • Monitors and report capital project & cost center spending;
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts;
  • Analyze changes in raw materials used in all production facilities;
  • Work with multiple business units in the US and outside the US;
  • Develop cost standards for materials and labor;
  • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies;
  • Shares responsibility for Management reporting and analysis;
  • Monitors and executes the Internal Control System and ensures accordance with FAM (Financial Accounting Manual) and MAM (Management Accounting Manual).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;
  • Familiarity with IFRS practices;
  • SAP experience, Advanced Level;
  • Advanced Excel skills;
  • Bio/Pharma Preferred;

  • Strong communication skills, organization skills and time management skills;
  • Cost Accounting/BOM experience preferred;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance;
  • Detail oriented;
  • JDE experience a plus;
  • Strong PC and analytical skills. (Pivot tables and VLOOKUP in Excel.).
