Credentialing Specialist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Credentialing Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all licenses and credentials are verified and updated timely;
- Be responsible for understanding and learning client specific protocols for multiple individual clients;
- Monitor and manage operational production from provided reports and outlined performance matrix;
- Handle, on average 75-100 files that require a final quality control review before communication the final report to client contacts;
- Assist in the recruiting and training process to help expand the operations department;
- Manage and complete the final quality control completion process for assigned team members;
- New Hire Onboarding;
- Assist Recruiter with Recruiting Activities;
- Provider directory management;
- Credentialing policy and procedures development and maintenance;
- Providing direct supervision to the support staff in administering all aspects of processing applications;
- Reporting;
- Optimize workflows,time lines, capacity;
- Working with applicants and ARNG-CSG staff to support and enhance credentialing functions;
- Implementing ARNG-CSG policies and standards to ensure that credentialing operations are in compliance.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years professional work experience in a highly matrixed organization;
- Attention to detail possessing strong organizational skills;
- Works independently accepting direction from Solid Management Team;
- Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a strong focus on Outlook, Word, and Excel;
- Ability to grow and manage a team long term;
- Excellent communications skills, including over the telephone and in person, both written and verbal is essential;
- Ability to self-start and work independently;
- Database management skills including querying, reporting, and document generation;
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to meet critical deadlines;
- Exceptional detail orientation and time management skills;
- Informational research skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments;
- Vast knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
