Data Center Project Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Data Center Project Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Tracks and proactively identifies risks and leads risk management;
- Identifies resource dependencies and coordinates with other Team Leaders to identify and negotiate the most effective resolution;
- Maintains project schedule and plans to manage cost, schedule and performance.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and experience in EVM tools, particularly Primavera P6;
- Self-motivated with a strong ability to plan/organize workloads;
- Experience supporting a Federal IT environment is highly desirable;
- Experience leading or playing a key role in large scale data center consolidation and/or relocation is highly valuable;
- Hands-on IT Operations support or management is highly desirable;
- Working knowledge of Jira for project management highly desirable;
- Minimum of 5 years of IT Project Management experience required;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Expertise in Agile Project Management methodologies;
- Strong working knowledge of both Waterfal and Agile project management philosophies and the ability to incorporate both into the project as needed;
- PMP certification or equivalent in the required project management methodology.
