Deposit Operations Sr Specialist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Deposit Operations Sr Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- May participate and help shape process improvement efforts for the department;
- Tracking of productivity, quality, and other requirements in an accurate and timely manner;
- Providing provisional credits, creating official checks, processing restitution checks;
- Collection on various items (i.e. returned cashed checks, overdrawn savings accounts, un-posted savings and ATM withdrawals);
- Adapting the communication rate of speech , inflection, tone, and content in order to facilitate customer understanding and comfort;
- Required to ensure compliance with department SLAs, policies, procedures, and/or regulatory and risk requirements;
- Utilize department specific system applications;
- Setting up or maintaining customer accounts;
- Assisting with the Fraud Closing process;
- Fulfilling various customer requests;
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers;
- May assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and training materials to maximize efficiency and customer service;
- Supporting the official check escheatment process.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Bank applications and systems preferred;
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills;
- Capacity to work independently;
- Strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
- Ability to prioritize and manage daily workload;
- Strong ability to communicate effectively verbally and written with customers and colleagues;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and requirements with a consistent, positive attitude;
- Ability to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracy;
- Minimum of 1-2 years teller experience;
- Strong research and problem-solving skills;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Prior customer service experience required, 2-4 years of customer service experience prefered;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office).
