Development Associate Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Development Associate to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Construct technical narratives to accurately and efficiently convey technical concepts using standard industry terminology;
- Analyze technical documents to ascertain and document tax treatment of items;
- Competitive Pay;
- Analyze and review leases, operating statements, development budgets, and third party due diligence reports;
- Communicate with people inside and outside the organization (Asset Management, Acquisitions, Legal, Accounting, Operating Partners, etc.);
- Conduct sub-market research, including the collection and analysis of numerous categories of market data;
- Maintain and run financial models on existing funds, assets and/or acquisitions using Argus, DCF Models or other similar financial tools;
- Develop, create and document technical specifications and designs that satisfy documented business/functional requirements;
- Ensure all application designs and deployments and other work products are properly unit-tested prior to delivery;
- Assist with drafting opinion letters, responses to IRS inquiries, IRS ruling requests, and writing other technical memoranda;
- Communicate directly with client personnel, including operations, finance, accounting, and engineering;
- Proactively identify alternatives and recommend / implement solutions as appropriate;
- Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and technology architecture requirements for application delivery;
- Perform engagement management activities including billing analysis, invoicing and engagement setup;
- Participate in modern architecture and Microservices-based application design and implementation efforts for various client projects.
Requirements:
- Ability to travel and work at client locations;
- Ability to work with different individuals and work styles;
- Minimum of two years of Co-op, internship or full time industry experience;
- Strong analytical ability and organizational skills;
- Flexibility and sense of humor;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university;
- Excited about digging into data, fearless and has a “can-do” attitude;
- A minimum of two years’ experience delivering custom applications within a DevOps toolchain such as GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins, and others;
- Ability to accurately identify scope of work, prepare thorough detailed schedule estimate;
- MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Salesforce, MS Outlook;
- Is a planner, a list-maker, an organizational aficionado;
- Maintain impeccable attention to detail and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks;
- Travel may be up to 80-100%
