Our company is looking for a Director of Event Sales to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of local area business and existing client database;
  • Establish performance goals for sales team and monitors performance on a continual basis;
  • Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales team, while maintaining focus on the company strategic goals;
  • Ability to excel and multitask in a fast-paced environment;
  • Develop, or participate with Senior Staff in the development of the Strategic Marketing Plan;
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel, Word and CRM Applications;
  • Friendly, positive, outgoing personality who relates well and gets along with people;
  • Creates sales campaigns focused on communicating and nurturing relationships with guests and driving repeat sales;
  • Mentoring, coaching and motivating the Topgolf team to exceed the quarterly and annual team sales goals set for the Topgolf site;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with new guests, return guests, co-workers and management;
  • Work closely with the National Director of Sales and Events and our Corporate Marketing Team;
  • Perform revenue forecasts and win/loss reports that illustrate your team’s overall performance against quotas;
  • Conduct market analysis and devise strategies for generating new business.

Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of experience in high-volume entertainment or hospitality event sales and operations;
  • Hospitality or related degree preferred;
  • Local candidates with an existing book of business;
  • Strong analytical skills, experience with Tripleseat event management software, and/or other POS Systems, Excel, and Word;
  • Hotel or restaurant food and beverage sales and/or catering management preferred;
  • Works well in a deadline-driven environment;
  • Demonstrated and proven ability to identify KPIs, develop a departmental business plan, and execute to stated objectives;
  • Sales experience with B2B and corporate events;
  • Flexible thinker who can adapt selling strategies to changing market conditions and continue to reach sales performance objectives;
  • Superior guest service skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent follow-through;
  • Strong outreach and business development acumen;
  • Maintains a flexible schedule to include working on weekends and holidays;
  • Must have a professional demeanor with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills;
  • Prior management of budgets, forecasting, and capital expenditures;
  • 3+ years current B2C sales team management experience to include entry and mid experience levels.
