Our company is looking for a Director of Strategic Sourcing to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Position is based in New York. The position will require up to 10% travel;
  • Negotiate both simple and complex agreements with professionalism and stamina;
  • Ensure compliance with policies and programs in alignment with sourcing strategy;
  • Develop category plans and short, medium and long term target opportunities within those plans;
  • Interfaces with varying levels of management at OUTFRONT Media and third party service providers;
  • Interact cross-functionally with other departments and serve as an effective and value-added service for key stakeholders;
  • Reports to the Sr. Director Strategic Sourcing and Procurement;
  • Ensure the effective delivery of initiatives, programs and directives in accordance with sourcing strategy and financial business plans;
  • Identify and report key performance metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement ensuring alignment with sourcing plans;
  • Establish and lead a supply chain council with supply chain leaders from all IDEAL Industries businesses;
  • Structure and negotiate supplier contracts to manage risk and ensure consistency with overall sourcing strategy;
  • Develops, manages and optimizes strategic supplier relationships by leading business planning and performance evaluations with preferred suppliers;
  • Drive continuous improvement to documented processes and procedures;
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance in terms of delivery, quality and cost;
  • Build/establish strategic relationships with key suppliers.

Requirements:

  • CPIM, CPM and/or NAPM certifications preferred;
  • Expertise in the sourcing of raw materials for manufacturing (i.e. metals, plastic);
  • Perform work at a desk, and walking in and around manufacturing facilities;
  • The successful candidate must be able to interact professionally with all internal and external customers;
  • Domestic and International travel is required up to 25%
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills;
  • Successful sourcing of greater than $100 million annual spend;
  • Able to utilize business and market data to identify and prioritize sourcing opportunities;
  • Must possess strong negotiation skills;
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in purchasing/sourcing in a manufacturing environment;
  • Able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of best practices in strategic sourcing for multiple categories and suppliers.
