Event Marketing Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Event Marketing Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, schedule, and plan event calendar for team of Event Marketers in assigned territory;
- Recruit, hire, train and develop Event Marketers and create accountability through established Event Marketer goals and KPIs;
- Develop and drive event-based marketing initiatives to generate sales leads for sales representative follow up;
- Develop timelines, organizational plans, and internal communications for cohesiveness and transparency across the organization;
- Manage event marketing material and equipment set up and tear down;
- Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned;
- Source, recommend, learn, and adopt tools to drive efficiency and help deliver world-class experience;
- Maintain content, events information, and articles on our website;
- Build on Spotinst vision and message to create an engaging, memorable and impactful presence for Spotinst at events;
- Track and report event ROI based on key objectives and metrics;
- Work with sales and marketing team to develop an event strategy and objectives aligned with marketing and sales priorities;
- Work with sales and product marketing to improve brand/product awareness and drive demand;
- Create integrated event plans including budget, pre-event marketing, speaking sessions, show floor presence, and post-event follow-up;
- Create events strategy and calendar, research and identify conferences for speaking and sponsorship slots;
- Identify and work with internal SMEs to develop speaking proposals and awards submissions.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- 2+ years experience of successful lead generation and management positions in direct to consumer industries;
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and pre-scheduled events;
- Self-starter with ability to manage and develop others;
- Experience with large scale budgeting and planning;
- 3+ years of streaming or broadcast production and marketing;
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions when presented with unplanned challenges;
- Strong analytic and quantitative skills – ability to use data to develop and measure marketing programs;
- BA / BS – Business degree or equivalent experience;
- Skilled at working cross-departmentally (product managers, developers, sales, etc.);
- Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Ability to plan and execute projects involving multiple internal and external resources and stakeholders;
- Highly organized and skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong understanding of key metrics to use to track and improve performance and ROI of events.
