Our company is looking for a Finance and Accounting Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling key accounts such as inventory, payables and intercompany balances on a weekly basis;
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or start-up company experience preferred but not required;
  • Fine-tuning the company’s chart of accounts as the company grows and defining accounting policies and procedures across the three companies;
  • Coordinating with external parties in any auditing processes;
  • Establish client expectations and effectively communicate to appropriate parties. Advise client on staffing solutions;
  • Develop and execute daily plan;
  • None required;
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance;
  • Support outside accountancy to ensure BYBE complies with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings;
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, and A/P;
  • Additional controller duties as necessary;
  • Manage monthly general ledger activities; review and process adjusting and recurring journal entries, performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Develop change-in-scope documents for ongoing trials;
  • Drive and support process improvements and the development of systematic processes.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in Accounting preferred;
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process;
  • Proven working experience as an Accountant and/or Finance professional;
  • Strong working knowledge of financial and accounting processes;
  • NetSuite experience a bonus;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface comfortably at all levels both internally and externally;
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of organizing, planning, records management, and budgetary processes;
  • 5 years of experience in the conduct of clinical research and/or contract management/pricing;
  • 3-6 years experience at a national/global public accounting firm; Flexible on title commensurate with years of experience;
  • Minimum of ten years of experience with increasing responsibility in accounting working for a Government Contractor;
  • Must have reliable transportation which affords timely travel to client sites within assigned territory;
  • Advanced proficiency in use of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other accounting software;
  • Able to thrive and multitask in a high-growth, fast-paced, ever-changing environment;
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and working knowledge of drug development services;
  • Results-oriented with superior technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
