Finance Project Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Finance Project Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Forecast, manage, and report on planned vs actual project schedule, and resource utilization;
- Responsible and accountable for delivering projects on-time, and meeting functional and quality specifications;
- Facilitate meetings to address open questions or drive to consensus;
- Create presentations and written deliverables to keep extended project team updated on project activities and direction;
- Develop and distribute weekly project update communications to Project Sponsor and Key Stakeholders;
- Establish positive relationships with clients and peers that build credibility, foster collaboration and empower the project team;
- Maintain Microsoft Project Plan to ensure successful delivery of project and associated outcomes;
- Manage issues, risks, and changes using appropriate and agreed upon processes and tools established within the governance model;
- Manage workstream leads and hold them accountable for achieving delivering project activities on time;
- Schedule project meetings and develop and distribute associated meeting minutes;
- Identify resources needed to complete work and collaborate with resource manager(s) to assemble appropriate skills/teams.
Requirements:
- Monitor the trends and competitive dynamics within the energy sector, state and federal regulations and with our development partners;
- Strong research and analytic skills, including statistical and quantitative analysis and the use of;
- Ability to think through complex problems and wide-ranging risk analysis;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel;
- Understanding of renewable power and/or transmission project development cycle;
- Analyze the financial statements and operating metrics of public sector entities;
- Ability to quickly pick-up on complex technical issues as well as political and interpersonal issues.
