Financial Analyst II is responsible for the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis projects such as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments. Provides analysis for forward-looking financial and business-related projects. Being a Financial Analyst II prepares forecasts and analysis of trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions, and other related areas. Responsible for the reconciliation of internal accounts. Additionally, Financial Analyst II identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. Requires a bachelor’s degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Financial Analyst II gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Our company is looking for a Financial Analyst II to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Expertise collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvement and cost reductions;
  • Complete special projects assigned by the Director of Financial Reporting, Vice President of Operational Analytics, or System Controller;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned;
  • Help vendors get set up with vendor onboarding;
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity of financial data;
  • Month End Accruals;
  • Process expense authorizations;
  • Process Depreciation calculation and post;
  • Ad hoc requests;
  • Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data, then assisting the Fulfillment Center improve and create new measures for site productivity;
  • Work closely with Research & Safety for invoicing, month end close reporting, headcount tracking;
  • Primarily support Business Unit FP&A team, collaborate mainly with R&D, marketing, FP&A and Accounting to drive financial excellency;
  • Participate in system integrations and testing to drive system and process improvements;
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis as required;
  • Assist in financial management reporting to support management reviews.

Requirements:

  • Ability to prepare a variety of financial statements, reports, analyses and model the economic dynamics of the departments they support;
  • High level of proficiency using Excel;
  • 2+ years relevant experience in positions that require financial analysis;
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering and/or similar discipline with analytical bias;
  • 2+ years of experience performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools;
  • Intermediate up to advanced proficiency in Excel (macros, pivots, lookups);
  • Experience with SAP and Hyperion is an advantage but not required;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills;
  • MBA and/or CPA a plus;
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership, dependability and accountability;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent experience;
  • Individual should have system skills (ERP and other systems);
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel & financial modeling preferred;
  • 2+ years of finance experience with good knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis, and business decision support;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
