Functional Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Functional Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Completes through detailed test cases execution to ensure software and reports are functioning properly;
- Considers the business implications of applying technology to the current and future PeopleSoft business environment;
- Prepares and obtains approval for business process and procedural documentation;
- PeopleSoft best practice consultation, training and functional IT support;
- Provide technical and functional support to existing customers as needed;
- Supporting development and implementation of OCIO IT Strategic Plans;
- Manage the implementation of new D365 installations including system configuration, data setup and imports;
- Primary source of Dynamics D365 product knowledge, business process analysis, and training for the GraVoc customer base;
- Understand and document the customer’s business and functional requirements;
- Responding to internal and external data calls for IT project and policy compliance information;
- Creating, identifying, and aligning missions, goals, objectives at portfolio, investment, project, and system levels;
- Assessing the feasibility of IT investment requirements integration into the IT portfolio framework;
- Serving as a primary liaison with government client’s IT Governance and Accountability Program staff;
- Facilitating Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and other IT governance meetings;
- Work directly with customers and internal project team to perform critical analysis of client business situations.
Requirements:
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of an IT roadmap;
- Proficiency in MS Suite; Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio;
- Familiarity with .Net development to interface with the developers;
- Supporting development and implementation of OCIO IT Strategic Plans;
- Assessing the feasibility of IT investment requirements integration into the IT portfolio framework;
- Creating, identifying, and aligning missions, goals, objectives at portfolio, investment, project, and system levels;
- Responding to internal and external data calls for IT project and policy compliance information;
- Proficiency in SQL query language (used for ad-hoc querying and reporting);
- Monitoring and tracking action items and routine reporting requirements;
- Developing and implementing of an OCIO framework for interpretation, update, and formulation of IT policies;
- Provide SharePoint content management for multiple areas of the CIO SharePoint home page;
- Familiar with using Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) for document versioning, test cases, source code, tasks/requirements etc;
- Facilitating Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and other IT governance meetings;
- Familiar with using Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) – used for executing test cases;
- Serving as a primary liaison with government client’s IT Governance and Accountability Program staff.
