HVAC Estimator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a HVAC Estimator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors;
- Become proficient with all product offerings, estimating, and e-commerce software tools;
- Create quotes and respond to inbound queries and requests;
- Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products;
- Review mechanical drawings for incoming quote requests;
- Understand scope of HVAC work to bid;
- Communicate with the engineering department on new and current projects;
- Prepare job take offs.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC / Mechanical Contracting;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to negotiate effectively;
- Knowledge of bidding software;
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility and ability to prioritize work assignments;
- Ability to develop budgets and time lines;
- Multi-tasker and Organized;
- Commutable to Staten Island;
- Great customer service and a team attitude;
- Attention to detail an asset;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HVAC estimating;
- Works well on own or in a team environment;
- Self-starter with strong work ethic;
- Knowledgeable in building and construction.
