International Logistics Analyst Job Description Template

Our company is looking for a International Logistics Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Generates and/or maintains departmental databases and documentation;
  • Develops and/or maintains written procedures and processes;
  • Transportation tracking and anticipation of potential problems;
  • Compiles and analyzes shipping data for airl, truck and ocean freight;
  • Get quotes for International shipments using most cost effective and efficient method of transport;
  • Work with Freight Forwarder, Brokers, Warehouse Personnel to resolve all delivery inconsistencies or delays;
  • Generates scheduled and ad-hoc reports as needed;
  • Generate annual freight budget and reforecast as needed;
  • Responsible for reporting and analysis of spend and trends by cost per unit for freight, duties and taxes by country;
  • Researches and resolves root cause of invoice errors, approves invoices, and documents vendor non-compliance; recommends corrective actions;
  • Other Tasks and Responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Strong organization, problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required;
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience;
  • Ability to operate in a fast moving, rapidly growing environment;
  • Demonstrated organizational, negotiation, and customer service skills;
  • Basic project management and prioritization skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a rapidly changing environment;
  • Knowledge of ocean, air, and truck transport shipping environment;
  • Advanced knowledge of international logistics, freight forwarding, and transportation principles;
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
