IT Asset Administrator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a IT Asset Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work with IT staff throughout the asset life cycle to ensure proper inventory, licensing, allocation, utilization, compliance and retirement of assets;
- Work safely and demonstrate safe work practices;
- Provide information and support for the development of IT budgets and forecasts;
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance;
- Manage hardware and software contracts including from initiation to termination;
- Generate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports on current assets and CIs and their status; also perform trend analyses;
- Use of computer and other related equipment 75% of time while sitting or standing;
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in an open and timely manner, providing all needed information and support;
- Work with internal auditing on software license audits and provide audit support as required;
- Performs other duties as assigned;
- Operate Platte River motor vehicles to perform duties at various sites;
- Manage requests for IT assets in Service Now;
- Maintain records of all contracts and recurring costs and verify monthly against actuals.
Requirements:
- Use of computer and other related equipment 75% of time while sitting or standing;
- Walking 20%
- Lifting up to 30 lbs: 5%
- Experience with IT asset management in Service Now or similar system;
- Experience with complex on-premise and cloud-based software licensing models;
- Willingness to learn new technologies and obtain and maintain required certifications as required;
- Current valid driver’s license and ability to remain insurable under Platte River’s vehicle liability policy;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; commitment to open, timely and thorough verbal, written and other communications;
- Certification in Microsoft licensing or other technical licensing;
- Passion for delivering reliable and secure information technology solutions combined with the highest levels of customer service;
- Experience with ITIL-based IT service management and IT asset management concepts, processes and procedures;
- Certification in IT service management / asset management training;
- Experience with mobile device management systems and carrier contracts;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work with frequent interruptions.
