IT Program Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a IT Program Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop roadmaps for program/projects;
- Drive resolution of constraints, conflicts and other challenges that could impact timely and successful execution of projects;
- Establish project/program governance structure;
- Accountable for meeting contractual performance criteria and due dates during service delivery, and successful overall project completion;
- Provide input for budgets and monitor performance to budgets;
- Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements;
- Direct daily operations of department by: analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines;
- Stay abreast of advances in technology;
- Performs enterprise-wide horizontal integration planning and interfaces to other functional systems;
- Provide clear communication to the organization on project status, critical path, as well as potential areas of risk;
- Provide Weekly Status reports, Provide Monthly status reports;
- Manages projects with focus on 4 Project Dimensions (Scope, Schedule, Cost and Quality);
- Participates in and facilitates leadership steering group & project status meetings; develops/distributes status reports;
- Manage all deliverables using Allison Service Delivery Methodology based on SEI-CMM model;
- Maintains resource forecasting, planning & work assignment allocations.
Requirements:
- Strong Agile / Scum experience;
- Medical device experience a plus;
- Proven ability to lead, influence and work well at all levels of an organization and in a cross functional team environment;
- Minimum 8 years of experience involved in leading major cross-functional projects in Manufacturing Operations;
- Certification in project management (PMP) desired;
- Ability to handle ambiguity effectively and oversee multiple projects at once;
- Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful with the ability to deal with conflict and drive to solution;
- A minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience;
- Strong Communication and presentation skills;
- BS or equivalent work experience;
- Experience managing / leading Cloud (AWS and/or Azure) migration projects;
- Requires knowledge of business processes I Engineering, Manufacturing Operations strategy and business management;
- Prior knowledge with Cat5, Cat6, Fiber, Network Switches, and patch panels, voice technologies, Microsoft Project, ESMT;
- Experience managing large scale IT projects;
- Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow workflow and functionality.
