Lead Auditor Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Lead Auditor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Experience with SOX compliance, operational, financial, and compliance audits;
- ACL experience is a plus;
- CPA or CIA required;
- Ability to travel up to 40%;
- Evaluate internal controls, identify weaknesses and recommend improvements;
- Communicate effectively with management regarding audit scopes, plans and results;
- Evaluate risk areas and develop audit programs to test these risks;
- Perform all the phases of an audit including planning, execution, documentation and reporting;
- Perform audits at both domestic and international locations;
- Analyze and understand business processes;
- Prepare audit reports detailing results of audits;
- Develop audits, plans and programs for areas that were not previously audited.
Requirements:
- Distribute individual claim/work queues to team in a timely manner;
- Develop working relationship with vendor counterparts;
- Adjust workloads as necessary to achieve successful completion of project;
- Participate in client presentation of findings, when requested;
- Ability to travel up to 40%
- Clearly communicate and professionally interact with vendor and onsite audit team;
- Understand client’s plans and apprise team of unique provisions/issues prior to onsite audit;
- Understand vendors’ processes, operating environment, and specific challenges and take them into account with daily onsite work;
- ACL experience is a plus;
- Experience with SOX compliance, operational, financial, and compliance audits;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Meet billable hours target;
- Resolve post-onsite audit activities in an accurate and timely fashion;
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
