Mechanical Project Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Solidify & build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers;
- Manage project deliveries;
- Billing;
- Scheduling;
- Managing the submittal and closeout process;
- Project coordination including RFIs and coordination drawings;
- Manpower control;
- Manage and successfully close construction contracts within the gross margins established by management;
- Coordinate manpower as required with other projects in the company;
- Budgeting and cost control;
- Develops and delivers project related client presentations;
- Proactively pursues additional knowledge in related disciplines by attending available in house and external training;
- Actively participates in meetings, initiatives, and projects that support studio and firm-wide goals;
- Meets technical, contractual, schedule, budgetary and client service objectives for each project;
- May periodically act as QC reviewer on projects.
Requirements:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to present concepts to various audiences;
- Ability to successfully work independently;
- Competent with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software;
- Must have strong customer service skills;
- Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, or 10 years of field experience in mechanical construction – plumbing and/or HVAC only;
- Accredited 4-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management and a minimum of 8 -10 years’ related experience;
- Ability to implement and oversee technologies such as BIM and LEAN principles;
- Revit, AutoCad, Trimble, and MS Office a plus;
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills;
- Minimum 4 yrs verifiable Project Management experience working in the areas of commercial HVAC and Plumbing.
