Our company is looking for a Pharmacy Care Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provides excellent customer service by serving as a resource to all internal and external customers;
- Exhibits excellent phone and communication skills while providing complete and accurate information to customers;
- Adheres to assigned schedule and quality metrics;
- Uses a multi-lined telephonic system to answer calls regarding eligibility requirements;
- Interviews applicants by phone for program requirements;
- Initiates the process of granting, modifying, denying, or terminating assistance, or referring applicants to other agencies for assistance;
- Provides clerical and/or administrative support to clinical staff and managers for special studies, projects and reports;
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients and medical professionals via phone, written communication or in person;
- Contact patients to arrange delivery of medication; verifies delivery address and collect payment information;
- Promptly and accurately does benefits investigations;
- Notifies pharmacist of relevant clinical information gathered during calls to provider or patient;
- Highlight any important notes / requests from the provider in the case;
- Contact the physician’s office to communicate clinical information when needed;
- Prioritize and organizes cases to be processed in timely manner proportionate with the need by date;
- Demonstrate the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality of information while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Requirements:
- 6 months in a medical/healthcare setting;
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook;
- Medical terminology knowledge base;
- Bilingual language proficiency (English/Spanish);
- Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism to include both personal conduct and appearance at all times;
- 2+ years of experience in a physician’s clinic or hospital;
- Call center experience;
- Ability to work independently, with some supervision and direction from manager;
- Compliance with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices;
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times to include but limited to patients and coworkers;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook;
- Strong communication skills and strong teamwork is required;
- Previous experience working in a healthcare call center, or as a Pharmacy Technician;
- Must be excellence, efficient and have high quality work.
