Product Marketing Specialist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Product Marketing Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute initiatives to reach target audiences through appropriate marketing channels;
- Gather and analyze data to make recommendations/presentations that affect marketing strategies;
- Work with sales pod leaders to gather feedback on sales campaigns and package it back to marketing;
- Assist with promotional activities (i.e. content development, event planning, and product training);
- Act as the liaison between sales pod leaders, product marketing managers and campaign managers;
- Collaborate with marketing, sales leaders and subject matter experts to build effective and relevant enablement content;
- Facilitate both group and 1:1 trainings including demo sequences;
- Supports Business Manager in development of global business unit strategy, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Business Strategy Reviews (BSR);
- Define, measure, track, analyze, and report on performance metrics of all marketing efforts and continually optimize program performance;
- Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan;
- Create and manage engaging, customer-facing content for various marketing channels, including industry events, collateral and sales support;
- Collect and analyze data on buyer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential factors affecting product demand;
- Will work closely with many RA divisions to provide a complete solution;
- Develop clear, concise, and impactful product positioning that speaks directly to the challenges of our buyers and resonates with our target market;
- Act as the messaging resource for Seegrid products, supporting speaking engagements, media/analyst interviews, and written works as needed.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated presentation, training and coaching skills;
- Capacity to digest complex content quickly, and break it down in compartmentalized learning experiences;
- Worked in a B2B SaaS environment;
- Ability to work with multiple groups and within all levels of the organization. Executive presentation skills a plus;
- 3+ years in sales, marketing or sales enablement/training capacity;
- Experience in manufacturing or warehouse optimization a plus;
- Proficient in MS Office and Google Apps;
- Highspot or other sales enablement tool experience a plus;
- Travel up to 30% of the time;
- 2+ years of marketing, communications, or product management experience; product marketing experience strongly preferred;
- Excellent writer able to translate complex technical concepts into simple, concise messaging that is audience-targeted and market-relevant;
- Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is–or isn’t–working. Set clear objectives and outline necessary key results to achieve goals;
- Comfortable leading strategic discussions and presenting in front of large, senior groups;
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and collaborative spirit–a team player;
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to create a compelling narrative across different audiences and markets.
