Our company is looking for a Project Director to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the project staffs in the development of the construction schedule and supervise to ensure the schedule stays on pace;
  • Coordinates office and field staff assignments along with the Project Manager and Superintendent;
  • Analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and develop and implement sound courses of action in areas of responsibility;
  • Train coalition members in environmental change strategies, team dynamics, and coalition responsibilities;
  • Responsible for determining marketing strategies for the coalition, to enhance visibility and increase capacity;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Support the coordination of training activities, technical assistance, data collection, and evaluation;
  • Responsible for site compliance with the federal regulations governing the financial & administrative conduct of their daily operations;
  • Identify risk and create risk mitigation plans successfully;
  • Direct, supervise, mentor and manage subordinate staff and oversee the execution of PMP activities;
  • Reach out to and engage diverse people and communities within Pontiac and surrounding areas;
  • Develop and implement a program quality management system;
  • Provide public leadership on critical issues related to the goals and objectives of the initiative;
  • Attending project status meetings with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Form strong relationships with general contractors based in the project location.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Knowledge of architectural, construction and design techniques, including self-performed work;
  • Solid computer skills, with working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Project, Excel and Word;
  • Demonstrates and maintain organizational skills while multi-tasking in a fast paced environment;
  • Must possess comfort with change; must possess agility to adapt to and lead through change;
  • Effective problem-solving, analytic and negotiating skills;
  • Impeccable reputation with regard to ethics and integrity;
  • A strong commitment to reproductive justice and expanding access to abortion services;
  • Experience in communicating in a persuasive, credible manner, in person, in digital settings, and in writing and presentations;
  • Strong knowledge of the nonprofit sector and experience in leading and facilitating community coalitions;
  • Experience of managing contentious situations;
  • Political awareness;
  • High level literacy skills;
  • Technology skills and the ability to apply software knowledge with computer proficiency in all Microsoft components.
