Project Management Consultant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Project Management Consultant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Establish, maintain, and lead high performance project teams, serving as the project advocate within the client organization;
- Manage projects, which typically involves system implementation in a validated environment. The project activities include but not limited to;
- Leads highly complex, large public safety applications (CAD/Mobile/Records/Jail/Next Generation 911) projects;
- Allocates project staff with the required competencies to meet the project objectives;
- Approve Project Travel and Expenses;
- Ensure high utilization of resources and make adjustments as appropriate;
- Participation in the development of and approval of Methods of Procedure;
- Providing key guidance and support for proposal efforts;
- Responsible for creating, distributing and presenting various project status reports and results;
- Working with Project Managers from the other Regions to ensure consistency, share best practices and implement lessons learned;
- Establishing and executing a risk assessment and mitigation plans;
- Setting and measuring team members goals;
- Participate in pre-contract evaluation of contract terms and scope in order to evaluate and mitigate potential risks/gaps;
- Works with the Project Management Office to identify and implement process improvement and best practices across the Project Management discipline;
- Procures internal and external resources.
Requirements:
- Must have experience in implementing systems in pharmaceutical environment;
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline. Advanced degrees are a plus;
- Experienced in current technologies and platforms including project management tools;
- Experienced with SDLC, software development, systems architecture, and interfaces/reporting;
- Ability to produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications and presentations;
- Drug Safety / Pharmacovigilance experience;
- Highly desirable to have experience in pharmaceutical environment, preferably in system validation and/or pharmacovigilance;
- Hands on experience on Microsoft Projects;
- Solid analytical and strategic capabilities and business acumen;
- PMP Certification;
- Must have 2+ years experience delivering at least ONE enterprise software category ERP, SCM, CRM;
- MS or MBA;
- 3 5 years of IT consulting experience in F500 environments (highly desirable to have big-5 or large SI experience);
- Project Management-L2 (Mandatory).
