Our company is looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in modeling and/or forecasting multiple data points;
  • Collect and scrub data in preparation for analysis;
  • Manage internal flow of data between team members and our database;
  • Monitor trends in economic and real estate markets;
  • Working closely with other team members to compile data and analysis into well-organized and concise monthly reports;
  • Reviewing code documentation for proper model implementation, including the possible simulation of results;
  • Testing and confirming model results by using documented procedures for running the models;
  • Assessing the stability and robustness of models by conducting backtesting, sensitivity testing, and stress testing;
  • Working with data validation members and information technology professionals to assess model data integrity;
  • Assessing model theory and model assumptions as well as considering model methods and alternate options;
  • Performing model validation processes and performing independent model validation of significant models.

Requirements:

  • Very strong knowledge of software design including algorithms and object oriented design;
  • Advanced Excel/VBA: 3+ years of development experience;
  • A successful candidate will be detail oriented, a quick learner and able to adapt to a dynamic high paced environment;
  • At least 5 years of front office quantitative development experience;
  • Broad understanding of equities markets and portfolio construction;
  • Applicant should have a demonstrated track record of success in challenging environments;
  • Strong working knowledge of linear algebra and statistics;
  • Strong communication skills required as this role involved direct communication with risk management and trading;
  • Solid data-mining and analysis skills, including experience dealing with a large amount of data/tick data;
  • BS from a strong academic university or college;
  • Experience with alpha development and simulation;
  • Proficiency in back-testing, simulation, and statistical techniques (auto-regression, auto-correlation, and Principal Component Analysis);
  • Strong programming skills in C++, MATLAB, and R;
  • Experience with one of the following: Futures, Currencies, Commodities, FX, or CTA;
  • Knowledge of the full cycle from alpha development to trading issues within your area of specialization.
