Our company is looking for a Research and Development Associate to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To lead in special projects concerning products, processes, equipment, and facility concepts and design;
  • Perform behavior studies;
  • Record keeping in written and electronic laboratory notebooks;
  • Utilizes practical and technical abilities both of his/her own and/or other team members, make changes, and is adaptive as required;
  • To advise and guide, as requested, other R&D team members and other departments throughout BBU, on scientific/technical matters as necessary;
  • Inventory management;
  • Interact with CROs for timely execution and delivery of studies;
  • Assist in the design, planning and execution of experiments in cell culture, biochemical, and molecular biology studies;
  • Deal effectively and professionally with outside ingredient supplier to meet R&D objectives (keeping Purchasing informed);
  • To write reports/memos from time to time on current status of developments;
  • Interface with operations personnel in all facilities to effectively and efficiently implement product development objective to completion;
  • Perform colony management;
  • Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, western blotting, RNA extraction;
  • Design and execute experimentation using established procedures, interpret results and translate results into possible solutions;
  • Assist with live and terminal sample collection.

Requirements:

  • Flow cytometry;
  • BS/MS in a biology related discipline;
  • Strong in vivo experience with rodents, including dosing, breeding, behavior observations, necropsy;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and qPCR;
  • BS degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; min 1 year in industry;
  • Must be able to work in an innovative, fast-paced and team-oriented environment;
  • western blot; immunoprecipitation;
  • Experience with dosing routes (IP, IV, PO);
  • Experience with the following techniques, are a plus.
