Retirement Specialist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Retirement Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Leads special projects, as needed;
- Assists in pension audits;
- Maintaining and building excellent customer service relationships with clients, stakeholders and end user participants;
- Develops and maintains operational procedures and process documentation for plans;
- Participates in departmental projects (i.e. annual open enrollment, partner annual benefits statements, etc.);
- Provides retirement benefit presentations for employees;
- Performs other duties as assigned or perform other duties when necessary;
- Coordinates summary plan description updates, and other plan communications as required;
- Creates and reviews employee retirement benefits communication materials;
- Provides specialized customer service to pension eligible population and pensioners;
- Manages Term Vested: executing operational procedure, payment processing and communication;
- Complies with government and state regulations and plan provisions to ensure equitable administration to employees;
- Investigates and resolves eligibility file issues; researches and resolves file discrepancies reported by retirement carriers;
- Provides policy interpretation and clarifies procedures to HR and Department management;
- Assist in managing and requesting annual pension valuation reports and compliance mailings.
Requirements:
- Strong customer service acumen;
- Leads special projects as needed;
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or 5 years of relevant work experience;
- Develops and maintains operational procedures and process documentation for plans;
