Our company is looking for a Senior Budget Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Investment Decision Support – Support the client’s decision processes for determining investments;
  • Prepare Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), and potentially DD 1144 Support Agreements;
  • Assist in the development of budget exhibits for O&M, Procurement and RDT&E budget exhibits (R Forms);
  • Accounting – Perform accounting research as required;
  • Financial Systems – Help the client maintain their respective information in relevant DoD financial systems;
  • Prepares budget estimate inputs, and reviews for compliance with policy, rules, regulations, and procedures;
  • Assist in the Program Objective Memorandum (POM);
  • Ad Hoc Analyses – Serve as Finance SME on projects, analyses, reviews, etc as required by the client;
  • Prepares a variety of documents, such as: correspondence, forms, reports, statistical tables, spreadsheets, etc;
  • Assist in the development of an annual Spend Plan;
  • Analyzing current and past budgets, forecasting future budget requirements, and preparing and justifying budget requests;
  • Providing technical support for the set-up, execution, monitoring, reporting, and analysis of appropriated funds;
  • Maintains primary responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and completing ad hoc analysis for Agency wide revenue and expenses;
  • Analyzes financial results, trends and performance metrics and provides root cause analysis to support business decisions. (15%).

Requirements:

  • Must be a self-starter that can recognize needs and act with little to no guidance;
  • Requires deep experience creating and reviewing MIPRs as well as working within the OSD staff to get them approved;
  • All candidates must have a Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret;
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition and contracting processes;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or closely related field;
  • 8 + Years of related experience; a Bachelor’s Degree (in a relevant discipline) will count as 4 years of experience;
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities;
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills, a high level of integrity, critical thinking, and leadership courage;
  • United States Citizen;
  • Experience with resp ond ing to data calls and providing the most accurate and relevant information to the requestor in a timely manner;
  • Ability to manage a spend plan tracking tool for commitments, obligations, and procurement request ( PR ) submissions;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance/accounting fields (8 years if non-degree candidate) with a minimum of 2 years in the federal sector;
  • Ability to establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with government personnel who have budget planning and execution responsibilities;
  • Ability to perform budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of funds;
  • Assisting in the pricing methodologies for use in the system of charges.
