Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and foster relationships with a network of contacts and clients that will lead to future projects;
- Plans, develops, coordinates and directs a number of large and complex projects;
- Plans, organizes, and directs the work of a staff of engineers and technicians;
- May serve as resident engineer and/or structure representative on construction projects;
- Plan and deliver federally-funded projects for State and Local Agency clients;
- Mentor junior staff and cutivate talent within the team;
- Critical Problem Solving and Thinking;
- Work with and lead intradisciplinary teams focusing on roadway components;
- Development of complex TTCP plans for a variety of local agencies;
- Oversee the design and production of highway design plans, specifications and estimates;
- Attendance of Professional Society Events;
- Business Development and Proposal Writing;
- Technical Writing As Necesssary;
- Successful candidate may represent WSP at project meetings and deal directly with Client.
Requirements:
- Valid California driver’s license and insurable driving record;
- Positive attitude/team player/able to accept constructive criticism;
- Collaborative and proactive approach to work;
- Strong communicator;
- Excellent bonus potential and opportunities for ownership;
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies;
- Solid technical design and project management skills;
- Strong writing skills to support technical reporting as well as strong oral communication skills are required;
- 8+ Years experience with w/ww or civil site or municipal projects in the Virginia market;
- Ability to work with clients and and grow a client base;
- At least 7-9 years’ experience in an engineering office with a focus on the NHDOT, MaineDOT, VTrans or other state transportation projects;
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering;
- Strong MicroStation and Inroads skills are required;
- Licensed PE in VA;
- NH Professional Engineering License (PE) or the ability to obtain. Registered in multiple states, a plus.
