Senior Compensation Consultant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Compensation Consultant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Providing support for reorganizations;
- Provide input for various requests including company communications and media inquiries, regulatory filings, and internal/external audit requests;
- Administration of Duke Energy base and variable pay programs;
- Completing job evaluations using market pricing methodology;
- Develop customer-specific compensation strategies to address employee attraction, engagement, and retention;
- Provide data analytics to support strategic resource decisions, labor negotiations, or budget development;
- Troubleshoot and provide support to HR and end-users of our tools and technologies;
- Identify root causes of issues and risk, implement key controls and recognize opportunities for customer experience and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Strong business acumen and experience with compensation programs (salary structures, job evaluations, incentive design);
- Strong project and process management skills;
- Drive for process management and improvement;
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation;
- Demonstrated advanced Excel skills in working in large files, creating macros, utilizing lookups & Pivot Tables, and strong data manipulations skills;
- Must be 18 years of age or older;
- Ability to exercise independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices;
- Demonstrated project management skills;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related study;
- Ability to deal effectively with all levels of management including executives;
- Graduation from a four-year college or university;
- Understanding of external factors affecting market conditions and other issues directly impacting the utility industry;
- Experience working in a regulated environment;
- Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills.
