Senior Contracts Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Contracts Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manages training development and delivery;
- Supervises the development of briefings and position papers, review drafts, and finalize documentation;
- Initiates and/or supports meetings related to the development of a procurement package;
- Provides recommendations concerning the selection of contract type and method of acquisition;
- Manages and or participates in working groups;
- Supervises the drafting and issuing of applicable pre-award documentation analyses;
- Manages the analysis of acquisition plans and procurement milestone schedules;
- Reviews and improves customer statements of work and other pre-award documentation;
- Interacts with Commercial, Marketing, Accounting, Legal, Scheduling, Audit and other groups as well as external customers;
- Assists in the identification, development and implementation of new contract policies, processes and control objectives;
- Drafts contracts, amendments or exhibits by applying the established terms and conditions as negotiated by Marketing or Legal;
- Provides guidance to Contract Analysts and assists in developing contract skills in assigned function;
- Ensures compliance with SOX standards regarding the documentation and tracking of contract preparation, maintenance and reporting processes;
- Monitors and enters daily Marketing and Asset activity into the OpenLink – RightAngle IV (“RAIV“) system;
- Responds to various requests from internal and external customers and ensures all appropriate actions are taken and/or communicated to personnel.
Requirements:
- DAWIA /FAC-C and CFCM or CPCM certifications are highly desirable;
- Experience as an 1102 in the Federal Government is highly desirable;
- Experience with major contract writing systems is highly desirable;
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
- Experience with Refined Products or Crude Oil Commodities is required;
- 2+ years contract administration experience is preferred;
- Strong integrity and sound judgement;
- Experience with commodity marketing or trading is preferred;
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of related Clinical Research Analyst work experience;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent knowledge of corporate policies, governances and procedures;
- Advanced keying / typing skills with high accuracy;
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- 3+ years of experience in the energy industry is required;
- Knowledge of trading management systems such as OpenLink – RightAngle and/or system implementation is preferred.
